NVIDIA’s RTX 40 series models will be announced in October. While the flagship RTX 4090 will be launched immediately, the other two models– RTX 4080 and RTX 4070 will be released later.
Twitter user @kopite7kimi revealed the performance of RTX 4080 and RTX 4070 in the 3DMark TimeSpy Extreme test.
Both the GPUs scored more than 10K in the test. The RTX 4080 scored about 15000 points while the RTX 4070 scored 10000.
The user pointed out that these scores are based on the specs mentioned before, so the RTX 4080 was paired with the AD103 GPU with 10240 CUDA cores while the RTX 4070 used the AD104 GPU with 7168 CUDA cores.
Comparing the scores with other GPUs, the RTX 4080 would be twice as fast as the RTX 3080. The RTX 4070’s performance is at par with those of RTX 3090 and AMD’s Radeon RX 6900XT.
Here are the specs for RTX 4080 & RTX 4070:
|RTX 4080||RTX 4070|
|Architecture||Ada(TSMC N4)||Ada(TSMC N4)|
|Memory||16 GB G6X||10 GB G6|
|Memory Speed||21 Gbps||18 Gbps|
|Bandwidth||676 GB/s||360 GB/s|
NVIDIA is expected to release the RTX 40 series around October.
