Sony set to remove 16 titles from PlayStation Plus Extra and Premium

As a part of the PlayStation Plus service, members have access to certain games by Sony. The access is limited to the titles being a part of the service.

With the addition comes the subsequent removal of some titles to make room for future titles. As per the recent slash, 16 games are set to leave the higher tiers i.e., PS Plus Extra and Premium. This list comprises 9 Monkeys of Shaolin, Agents of Mayhem, Ash of Gods: Redemption, Black Mirror, Defense Grid 2, Descenders, Gods Will Fall, Joe Dever’s Lone Wolf, John Wick Hex, KeyWe, No Straight Roads, Party Hard, Red Faction 1 and 2, Redeemer: Enhanced Edition and Wytchwood.

While we don’t see any of the big-name games from the big-money studios on this list, all of the aforementioned titles are being removed either from the Extra tier or the Premium Category in the coming month.

As of now, they have been moved to a section called “Last Chance to Play,” as revealed by Playstation Game Size. Thus, quite a few games are going to face the axe of the constant updating that Sony does to keep its offerings fresh.

It should be kept in mind that despite the number of games being discontinued, this is just light work when compared to what Sony did in May 2023.

They removed over 30 games from PS Plus Extra and Premium in May 2023, including the notable titles of Marvel’s Spider-Man, Metro 2033 Redux, Kingdom Come: Deliverance, and Shenmue 3.

While the games being ejected have been announced, the incoming titles for June 2023 haven’t been announced yet.

For this month, however, PS Plus Extra subscribers can try their hands at Ratchet & Clank: Rift Apart, the latest Tom Raider Trilogy, The Evil Within 2, Thymesia, Watch Dogs: Legion, and Sakuna: of Rice and Ruin.

As for PS Plus Premium users, they can play Pursuit Force, Syphon Filter: Logan’s Shadow, Blade Dancer: Lineage of Light and Ghostbusters: The Video Game Remastered.
