Super Smash Bros. Ultimate revealed the next set of spirits through an announcement via the SmashBrosJP Twitter page. This set comprises three spirits based on Age of Calamity characters.

Official artwork suggests that the three spirits are Impa (probable sheik), Terrako (probable R.O.B), and Master Kohga (probable Greninja). The spirits will be released on 8th January and will be available for five days.

Note: there is a high possibility that the spirits will be permanently added to the game at a future point, just like other limited-time event spirits.

“Apocalypse of the Zelda Musou Disaster to the Battlefield 100 Years Ago” will be held for 5 days from 1/8 (Friday)! During the period, three new spirits of “Hyrule Warriors Apocalypse” will appear. Please check it!

The Age of Calamity fans have been quick to complain about these spirits in the update’s comment section. They feel that this event ends the possibility of Impa making it to the game as a DLC character.

Although unlikely, rumors report that another Koei Techmo character could be on its way to Nintendo’s popular crossover fighting game.

The Spirits didn’t receive a very positive response when they were first announced. Many fans are deeming them as unworthy replacements for trophies.

However, these limited-time event spirits have helped establish a unique framework for regular tournaments. They have enabled series like Resident Evil to be included in the game with a playable character.

Fans might feel saddened for not getting any Zelda characters, but they should give these new spirits a chance to lift their spirits.

About Super Smash Bros:

Super Smash Bros. is Nintendo’s popular crossover fighting video game series.

Fist published by Nintendo in 1999, Super Smash Bros. was created by Masahiro Sakurai.

Unlike traditional fighting games where the player achieves victory by depleting the health of the opponent, the gameplay for Super Smash Bros. involves increasing damage counters and knocking the opponent off the stage to achive victory.

The series comprises five installments. The first one coming in 1999 for Nintendo 340348, and the latest one was released in 2018 for Nintendo Switch.

The game lets the player chose from many characters from popular Nintendo franchises like Super Mario, Legend of Zelda, Donkey Kong, Yoshi, Pokemon and many more.

Every game in the series received positive reviews from critics and players alike. “Let’s play smash” became a colloquial statement associated with a bunch of people playing the game together.
