The Sims 4 ‘Summer of Sims’ Roadmap Released by Team

Sims fans can look forward to a lot of summer content coming to Sims 4, as shown by the newly released ‘Summer of Sims’ roadmap. The first piece of content, The Sims 4: Courtyard Oasis Kit, is due on May 18th, and there’s a lot more to follow.

The roadmap shows that there is going to be a new game pack and expansion, as well as three base game updates. A Pride celebration event will complement these updates and another event of some kind, all of which players can expect to experience within the next three months.

Previously, fans had been told that a kit and game pass were coming soon but were given no further details. This roadmap gives a bit of a clearer picture, and we can expect more information during the Inside Maxis live stream scheduled for May 18th, 11 AM PT.

The latest kit added to the game seems to be made for builders and contains several Morocco-inspired courtyard items. These include stairs, archways, tiles, furniture items, and much more, all of which are vibrantly colored and designed with the outdoor spaces in mind.

The new game pack that follows will have a new career and suggest a creative theme. The previous stuff pack, Paranormal, came with a new haunted house lot type, medium skill, furniture, clothing, and a ghosthunting career. Game packs are situated between stuff packs and game expansions, so the bar is also set very high.

Continuing from last year’s Virtual Pride, hosted by the LGBTQ+ streamer English Simmer, the team will once again throw a Virtual Block Party Pride event. Interestingly, there is another event listed on the roadmap that just says “Sims event of the summer”. The use of “rock out” suggests this event may be some sort of music festival, a theme that would tie in well with the game pack content.

Following the recent monthly updates, players are being promised three more base game updates, all of which will be free. These will most likely tackle some issues the team keeps adding to their new Laundry List system.

In keeping with the last couple of years, this summer will also have a new expansion pack launch. The only tease here is that players will be able to bond with nature.

We expect more details to be revealed in the coming weeks, but with three DLC’s, three free updates, and two Sims-themed events on the horizon, Simmers are going to have a lot to experience this summer!
