This Destiny 2 Glitch Lets You Add 12 Players to One Raid

Glitches and bugs aren’t always bad. Just ask a Destiny 2 player, they’ll tell you.

In a new glitch to surface for the online FPS, you can add 12 players to one single Raid. So, if you have multiple gaming groups who complain that you never play with them, here’s your chance to bring ’em all together for one crazy session.

As far as glitches go, this is nothing new for Destiny 2. The game’s matchmaking component is infamous for not being one of the smoothest to exist in the gaming industry But players have not shown any displeasure for it. For instance, glitches in the past have resulted in Strikes having more than 20 players at once. So, it’s clearly a case of the more the merrier.

This Raid glitch was first discovered by YouTuber Scrub who went on to detail it in the video below. Although, we must say, it is quite complicated to pull off and will require you to be high on patience and focus.

12 MAN RAIDS GLITCH!

What you need to do:

  1. Assemble 2 fireteams; one with the first set of 6 players, and the second having the rest
  2. Get all the players in one voice chat
  3. The leader of the first fireteam needs to launch the Raid and then signal to the leader of the second to join ONLY once the in-game launch timer reaches 00:02 (completes 2 seconds)
  4. The second fireteam leader must have the prompt to join the first fireteam ready

If done properly, the in-game text should show that someone is joining the fireteam. Upon loading the activity, all twelve players will spawn near each other.

While Scrub tested this glitch out solely on PC, comments under the video have confirmed that it also plays out successfully on consoles. With Bungie having dealt with the near unlimited looting bug, Destiny 2 players have something new to help them mess with the game’s boundaries. Additionally, with more pals by your side, high-difficulty raids like Garden of Salvation and Last Wish are bound to be more fun.

Destiny 2 is free-to-play on PC, PS4/5, Stadia, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S.
