Face Thor and Freya’s Wrath in God Of War Ragnarok as Main Villains

The reveal trailer of God of War Ragnarok was worth the wait! Every bit of it got gamers pumped up. The insight offered by the footage was worth its weight in gold, but it was not enough for fans to scratch the itch that bothered them for years.

No one knew much about God of War Ragnarok before yesterday. Let alone plot and features, even the name wasn’t confirmed! Rumors obviously used to hit the industry with a storm, but Santa Monica never broke their silence.

Finally, during PlayStation Showcase, Sony unveiled the much-anticipated sequel to 2018’s God of War. The reveal teased enthusiasts with a plethora of exciting elements!

As priceless as the trailer was, it wasn’t the one that dwelled on details. This is where the PlayStation blog comes into action!

The most important thing this blog did was putting away countless fans’ theories about Thor by confirming the game’s main antagonists.

The once-ally-turned-enemy Freya and the God of Thunder Thor are two of the main antagonists that Kratos and son Atreus will face in Ragnarok.

Not only is Freya an insanely strong user of Vanir Magic, her abilities as a warrior knows no bounds. Fueled by the death of her son Baldur, Freya has sworn vengeance and won’t stop till she annihilates Kratos.

On the other hand, as described by Mimir, Thor is the “Biggest Butchering Bastard in the Nine Realms.” Yielding an ever-powerful lightning-covered Mjolnir, this Norse God is someone you don’t want to cross.

But unfortunately, after killing Thor’s sons and half-brother, Kratos-Atreus will have to face the slaughterous God of Thunder as he seeks revenge.

Furthermore, only six of the nine realms were available to visit in the previous God of War. Things are set to change as Ragnarok has made all nine realms available for players to explore.

Each location will offer its own set of beauty, mystery, and charm, further solidifying the game’s sought-after status.

As of now, we do not have an official release date. However, one can expect God of War: Ragnarok to release some time in 2022.
