Talents in Hogwarts Legacy are useful for enhancing your abilities like spells, health, combat magic, stealth, and much more. They allow you to customize your playstyles depending on the enemies you have to face and also help you discover new secrets.
You can start unlocking Talents after completing the ‘Jackdaw’s Rest’ main quest which will help you acquire Talent Points with every progressive level in the game.
There are five Talent Trees to choose from: Spell Tree, Dark Arts Tree, Core Tree, Stealth Tree and Room of Requirement Tree.
Unlocking Talents is possible only between levels 5 and 40. You get one Talent point per level and each Talent needs just 1 point to unlock it. So, out of a total of 48 Talents, you can only unlock 35 and hence, you need to be wise with your choices.
Here are the 15 best Talents that you should aim to unlock in Hogwarts Legacy.
15Sense of Secrecy I (Stealth Tree)
Sense of Secrecy makes it harder for enemies to detect you. It can be unlocked from level 5 onwards.
14Disarming Curse (Dark Arts Tree)
Disarming has the same effect as Expelliarmus except that it has an offensive element to it. It can be unlocked from level 5 onwards.
13Revelio Mastery (Core Tree)
Revelio helps track down collectable items easily and expands the range of each Revelio cast. It can be unlocked from level 16 onwards.
12Swift (Core Tree)
Swift can make you disappear quickly and reappear nearby and thus almost functions as a teleportation spell. It can be unlocked from level 5 onwards.
11Spell Knowledge I, II (Core Tree)
Spell Knowledge allows you to add a new Spell Set for combat use. They can both be unlocked from level 5 onwards.
10Confringo Mastery (Spell Tree)
Confringo produces fiery bolts that can be used to hunt down enemy targets. It can be unlocked from level 5 onwards.
9Glacius Mastery (Spell Tree)
Glacius can freeze an enemy. If you strike them afterwards, dangerous shards of ice will come flying outwards. It can be unlocked from level 16 onwards.
8Blood Damage (Dark Arts Tree)
Blood Curse inflicts damage on all cursed enemies by just striking one of the enemies with it. It can be unlocked from level 5 onwards.
7Curse Sapper (Dark Arts Tree)
Curse Sapper restores some of your health after defeating a cursed enemy. It can be unlocked from level 22 onwards.
6Human Demiguise (Stealth Tree)
Human Demiguise allows you to run while using the Disillusionment spell. It can be unlocked from level 5 onwards.
5Maxima Potion Potency (Room of Requirement Tree)
Maxima Potion makes potions inflict increased damage and can also break through enemy shields. It can be unlocked from level 16 onwards.
4Transformation Mastery (Spell Tree)
Transformation causes the enemy to blow up like an explosive after being hit by it. It can be unlocked from level 22 onwards.
3Stupefy Expertise (Core Tree)
Stupefy makes enemies more susceptible to follow-up attacks and can cause lethal damage to them. It can be unlocked from level 22 onwards.
2Fertilizer (Room of Requirement Tree)
Fertilizer essentially makes the Chinese Chomping Cabbage a double attack by generating a second Cabbage with every one you throw. It can be unlocked from level 5 onwards.
1Avada Kedavra Mastery (Dark Arts Tree)
Avada Kedavra Mastery kills all cursed enemies at once and it only requires you to strike one enemy with it. It can be unlocked from level 22 onwards.
Can you unlock all the Talents?
No, you cannot unlock them all. You can only unlock 35 Talents out of 48 because you will get only 35 Talent points.
I would suggest keeping the above 15 on your list; you still have room for 20 more of your personal favorites.
Which Talents should you unlock and in what sequence?
Since there are specific levels required to unlock each Talent, you can start with the level 5 Talents and work your way up to the level 16 and level 22 ones.
The Core Tree and Dark Arts Tree in particular have the most unique and powerful Talents so I would also suggest that you aim to unlock those ones first.
