Ubisoft Connect 2.0 Leaked, Interface similar to Epic Games Store

Ubisoft Connect premiered in 2020 as a complete and holistic rebrand of the Ubisoft PC gaming client. Its major focus was directed towards an improved deployment system and a better reward structure. However, there were some existing issues from UPlay which made their way into the new platform.

Almost three years later, Ubisoft is working on a comprehensive update to their game client with a new and improved Ubisoft Connect 2.0. Judging by the leaked images, its design layout seems heavily inspired from the Epic Games Store, especially the dark and minimalistic UI.

Ubisoft Connect 2.0 will feature a redesigned home page, login screen, and game library pages. It will be a complete visual and functional reworking of the existing client. The main motive of the company with this move is to modernize and streamline their PC game client.

The images featured are taken from the beta version of Ubisoft Connect 2.0. It is currently available to only a small number of users. So, this is probably not what the final version will look like.

Steam Deck users can install the Epic Games Launcher onto their devices so this accessibility will be a major point to consider while Ubisoft is designing the PC client.

Ubisoft is currently undergoing some personnel changes, having shut some of its offices. Even the news of Ubisoft Connect 2.0 was the result of an unexpected leak. So, it is questionable how the company is managing a major project at such a crucial time. However, it looks like this project has been coming along for a while now.

Ubisoft is set to face monumental changes in the upcoming months. Hopefully, this doesn’t impact any of the ongoing projects too severely. However, if luck is on our side, we might get to see some more details about Ubisoft Connect 2.0.
