Ubisoft plans to Roll Out a Demo for Immortals: Fenyx Rising

Ubisoft is planning on releasing a demo for Immortals: Fenyx Rising for different platforms. While the game was received well, it unfortunately got overshadowed by fairly more popular titles like Call Of Duty: Black Ops Cold War, Assassin’s Creed: Valhalla, and Animal Crossing: New Horizons.

Immortals: Fenyx Rising showed a lot of promise and was generally received positively upon its release. But the time at which it was released did not do any justice to it. The game had to compete against many popular titles like Call Of Duty: Black Ops Cold War, Assassin’s Creed: Valhalla, and Animal Crossing: New Horizons.

The popular titles stunted the launch of Immortals: Fenyx Rising, and the game faded into obscurity. But it seems like Ubisoft might be trying to shift the spotlight back onto the game by releasing a demo.

Ubisoft has added a demo for Immortals: Fenyx Rising to the PS4 European PSN. The demo has a legitimate ID as well.

Initially reported by Destructoid, a Twitter account by the name of PSN releases discovered that a demo for Immortals: Fenyx Rising has been added to the PS4 European PSN, along with a complete legitimate ID.

A demo for Immortals: Fenyx Rising was already available exclusively on Google Stadia for two months before the launch. So, it would be relatively easy for Ubisoft to implement a demo that would bring the game to other consoles such as the Xbox One and Nintendo Switch along with both the next-gen consoles.

Many people have been hesitant to buy Immortals because the game is a new IP. So, a demo might reignite the spark for people sitting on the fence, thinking if they should buy it or not.

Ubisoft released Watch Dogs: Legion and Assassin’s Creed: Valhalla in October and November, respectively. It inadvertently resulted in the lackluster launch of Immortals: Fenyx Rising. In 2016, Titanfall 2 went through a similar situation when it was released alongside Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare and Battlefield 1.

An additional problem for Immortals was that the game had to change its original name from Gods and Monsters. All of the given factors combined and hindered the game’s launch day sales figures. Hopefully, a demo might help change that.

About Immortals Fenyx Rising

Sharing the same developer DNA with Assassin’s Creed: Odyssey, Immortals Fenyx Rising is yet another role-playing game by Ubisoft that will transcend you back in time.

The game takes players back to the days of Greek mythology where the gods have been captured by an abhorrent monster, Typhon.

In this gutsy adventure-packed game, it is only Fenyx, the  “forgotten” hero who can fight the brawny, nerve-racking foes and be the last ray of hope to save the Gods.
