1. Where to Find Sea Serpents in Valheim?
Sea Serpents are found in the Ocean Biome in Valheim. The snake-like creatures spawn during the night and are very quick.
When you spot a sea serpent, it won’t be very smart to take it head-on until you have the right tools for the job.
2. How to Defeat Sea Serpents in Valheim?
The best way to defeat the Sea Serpent in Valheim is to hunt it in teams. One player each to drag the monster with a harpoon, attack the Serpent, and steer the ship towards some shallow water or land.
To even start hunting Sea Serpents in Valheim, you will need a strong boat like the Karve or the Longship and an Abyssal Harpoon. Gather some Bronze and Iron to craft a stronger ship.
The next step would be to get an Abyssal Harpoon. Bow and Arrow can do the job, but the harpoon is what you want. Craft the harpoon using,

Chitin can be obtained from mining the Abyssal Barnacles on the small islands in the ocean (actually the backs of giant oceanic creatures).
With your supplies ready, it’s time to find and hunt the Sea Serpents. Often they appear during storms. Once you spot them, have one player harpoon it while one steers the boat towards some land or shallow water. The third player can start inflicting some damage.
Either kill the monster on land where it’s more vulnerable or in shallow water. Similarly, you can just solo harpoon the serpent to land and then kill it. Pro Tip: Don’t defeat the Serpent in deep waters, as the scale loot will just sink, and you won’t get anything other than meat.
3. What Loot is Dropped by Sea Serpents in Valheim?
Sea Serpents in Valheim will drop Serpent Meat, Serpent Scales and Serpent Trophies as loot in Valheim.
The meat can be used in Serpent Stew, which provides you with an 80 Health and Stamina bonus for 40 minutes. The show’s star is the scales; players can use the serpent scales to craft the Serpent Shield.
