Warzone 2 Developers Remove Massive Resurgence Following Issues

Season 3 of Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 is out, and it was designed to address issues regarding several game modes and offer fixes for bugs and technical problems that have been in the game for a long time. Instead, the new update caused more issues, hindering players’ experiences.

Warzone 2’s Season 3 introduced players to Massive Resurgence, a game mode which is just like battle royale but on a much larger scale. Resurgence featured a smaller playing field than the large battle royale maps, and with the addition of that, fast-paced gunfights and the ability to respawn, it quickly became a fan-favorite.

Resurgence wasn’t featured in the first season of Warzone 2, but after the majority of the community advocated for it, the developers brought the game mode back in Season 2. Massive Resurgence applies all the features of Resurgence to Warzone 2’s Al Mazrah.

Recently, in Massive Resurgence, reports came in of unusual gas circle behaviors in matches, where the safe zones would spawn inside the gas itself. Infinity Ward tweeted on Twitter, saying that they have disabled the Massive Resurgence game mode until a proper fix is developed.

In an effort to compensate players and offer them additional avenues of Resurgence gameplay, the developers have introduced the Resurgence Trios and Quads in the active playlist. For now, players can enter Resurgence Quads, Duos and Solos in Ashika Islands in addition to the Resurgence modes in Al Mazrah.

Even though the issue isn’t really game-breaking, it’s still really irritating. Players can leave the match and check the circle’s functionality before entering, but it’s still an annoying issue hindering players’ matches. But, since Infinity Ward is determined to develop a fix, players can rest easy knowing that a patch will most likely drop soon.
