Players will have to make some quick decisions in the mission Dark Waters in Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2. In the mission, you’ll have one minute to prevent a missile from launching and destroying New Orleans. You need to select the correct options in order to prevent the launch.
But don’t worry, we’re here to help you choose the right answers in order to stop the missile from launching. Just follow Graves’ instructions and select the correct options listed below.
Here is everything you need to do in order to succeed
- Press CLR and MODE at the same time ( Square and Circle on PlayStation, X and B on Xbox)
- Select the “Letter C” option (up on the D-pad on both PlayStation and Xbox)
- Press EXE (X on PlayStation and A on Xbox)
That’s literally all you need to do which will force the missile to destroy itself before it even launches. If you follow the instructions correctly, then the oil rig will be destroyed instead of an entire city, saving millions of lives, and you’ll also receive exclusive campaign rewards.
What Happens if You Choose The Wrong Answers?
If you end up choosing a wrong answer when Grave asks you for the letter displayed on the screen, then he’ll just tell you that it’s a negative and he’ll ask you to check it again. This will happen if you just choose one wrong answer.
If you keep on choosing the wrong answers, the missile launch progress will reach its maximum which will lead to the missile being launched. This will instantly end the mission and the mission will restart from the checkpoint when Graves asks you for the answer.
What Happens if You Don’t Choose an Answer?
If you don’t choose an answer and just leave it as it is, then Graves will become increasingly annoyed with you and will continuously ask you to check the options. This will go on if you don’t choose an answer.
If you don’t choose any answer, or even start the process at all, then the missile will launch. But you won’t get to see what happens after the missile is launched as the mission will fail instantly and restart from the checkpoint.
