A Complete Guide on the Soft and Hidden Caps in Diablo Immortal

The release of Diablo Immortal has the gaming community talking all over the world for the wrong reasons. Fans have criticized the game for having several micro-transactions that ruin the gameplay, making it easier for players who pay to become stronger quicker.

The game has received the lowest score on Metacritic, and Diablo fans have been feeling like the game is a cash-grab for Blizzard. The thought has been fueled even more as the community has found hidden caps in Diablo Immortal for players who play the game for free.

Diablo Immortal features several soft hidden caps in the game, reducing the amount of loot you get in the free-to-play-version, which encourages players to spend more real money on the game.

In this article, I’ll go through all the soft and hidden caps in Diablo Immortal, helping you to know when it might not be worth it to grind the game.

What are the hidden caps in Diablo Immortal?

A Complete Guide on the Soft and Hidden Caps in Diablo Immortal
Hidden Caps in Diablo Immortal

Diablo Immortal has caps that aren’t mentioned to the players in the game. In other words, side quests, purple bosses, and random map events stop rewarding players with loot after they do it five times a day.

To explain further, here are some hidden caps in Diablo Immortal:

  •  Your drop rate for legendary items will go down massively once you get them six times a day.
  • Your drop rate will reduce severely after getting a group bonus of six normal gems for the day.
  • Side quests will stop giving rewards after you finish five of them per day.
  • Defeating purple bosses won’t give you any rewards after you defeat five of them in a day.
  • Random map events will not reward players who finish them after five per day.
  • You can only enter Zoltan Kule treasure rooms five times a day.
  • Hidden Lair dungeons will stop giving gem rewards after you finish a few sections.

The biggest issue with these hidden caps in Diablo Immortal is that you’ll have to count how many drops you’ve received or the number of events you’ve completed. If you fail to do this, you’ll not know when you trigger these caps, and you might end up completing missions to get nothing in return.

Additionally, there are several other soft caps throughout the game, making it difficult to level up in Diablo Immortal by grinding.

Daily Bestiary Soft Caps

Daily Bestiary Soft Caps

The Bestiary is a book with entries that mentions the lore of different monsters in Diablo Immortal. Leveling up the Bestiary will give you bonuses and rewards, but there’s a daily limit on getting these rewards.

Here are the daily soft caps on the Bestiary:

  • Monster essence will stop dropping once you have 10 of them at a time, meaning you can trade for a new page before you can farm more.
  • You can only get three pages on the Bestiary per day.
  • After you get the third page, you can exchange the monster essence for random items or wait until the next day to get a new page.
  • You have a 30% chance of getting a duplicated entry.
  • After you get 60 pages, there is a higher chance of getting three duplicated entries in a row.
  • There is a limit of three legendaries on a single turn-in on the Bestiary.

The game also features several soft caps on buying items and dungeon quests. They are:

  • Cursed Chests: You can only get 5x Yellow Mats from these chests during the day. After the fifth, you won’t get any drops.
  • Rarities and Antiquities Merchants: The daily limit to purchase items from this place is 25. Also, the prices increase by 150% after the tenth purchase of the day.
  • Legacy of Horadrim: You can only get four key drops from the dungeon mobs in a day.
  • Enhanced Elder Rifts: The Fading Ember you receive has a limit of 200 per week and a maximum bonus of 120 from other players in a party with an active rare or legendary crest.
