Written in an unknown runic language, Corrupted Talisman is a crafting component of an uncommon rarity in New World and takes up only 0.1 kg of space in the inventory.

With this crafting resource carrying such monumental significance, you can probably guess that obtaining it is no walk in the park.

Corrupted Talismans in New World are dropped by Level 45+ Elite enemies and bosses in The Depths expedition. Therefore, you will have to fight a ferocious battle and defeat whoever stands in your way to obtain the resource.

The Depths Location

The Depths expedition in New World lies in the north of settlement in Restless Shore, south of the Shiresad Beach, and north of the Verdant Ascent.

The expedition cannot be accessed until you craft a Depths Tuning Orb. To prepare it, you’ll need:

  • Corrupted Shard x10 
  • Starmetal Chisel x1
  • Lodestone Brick x50
  • Energy Core x1

You will also need a minimum of three players, each with an Azoth Staff, so as to complete the Expedition.

The Depths expedition has two bosses: Archdeacon Azamela, servant of Thorpe and leader of his armies, and Commander Thorpe, a powerful agent of corruption and a deadly threat to Aeternum.

For this expedition, it is highly recommended to have a 5-member party with one dedicated Tank and Healer and three DPS, including a ranged-DPS member.

The Depths Expedition
  • Skerryshiv Axeman – Equipped with a hatchet, this enemy crew relies upon melee attacks exclusively. They are easy to deal with.
  • Skerryshiv Miner – This enemy unit carries pickaxes. They pack low HP and can be beaten with ease.
  • Skerryshiv Hunter – Being the ranged counterpart of Axeman, Skerryshiv Hunter throws hatchet from a distance and looks to hurt the ranged players. 
  • Skerryshiv Mercenary – Using a sword and shield, the Mercenary pose a threat as they hold the ability to inflict heavy damages.
  • Skerryshiv Artisan – They utilize a mason’s hammer.
  • Skerryshiv Impaler – Owing to the thorns that they pull from their backs and throw them from range, Impaler becomes a difficult crew of enemies to defeat and should be handled carefully.
  • Skerryshiv Cultist – Not only does Skerryshiv Cultist use corrupted magic, but they also carry a dagger for close combat.
  • Skerryshiv Entity – By performing melee attacks, the foe looks to attack with quick claw swipes.
  • Skerryshiv Grunt – This enemy resembles a bat and hits with a sonic attack that can knock you down.
  • Benat – They spawn with an Elite mod (Ignited, Frost Aura, etc.) and attack swiftly with a spear.
  • Skerryshiv Butcher – They tend to attack with a meat cleaver.
  • Skerryshiv Acolyte – By equipping a staff, they attack with destructive Corrupted magic.
  • Skerryshiv Archer – Equipped with a bow and arrow, they hit you with ranged attacks
  • Skerryshiv Swarmer – These torso-only crawlers are as swift as they come and prefer to charge at users.
  • Skerryshiv Tendril – Dangerous enemies that can throw projectiles from range and hit with powerful force while engaged in close combat.
  • Boor – Spawning with the Shattering mod, this Elite foe tends to pull users towards it and annihilate them with forceful smashing attacks that knock players down
  • Skerryshiv Legionaire – By utilizing Great Axe, this enemy carries out a sweeping attack.
  • Skerryshiv Heavy – A heavily corrupted crew that holds a giant greatsword and executes large cleaving blows.
  • Archibald – This Corrupted Bear is a foe that pulls off many combo attacks and protects the entrance that shall lead you to the final area of the expedition.
