Mentor’s armor set in Assassin’s Creed Valhalla is an intimidating, stealthy, and a must-have free armor set, which players can collect from the special chests hidden across different locations on the game’s map. Certain armor pieces of Mentor’s set are hidden in extremely high-level areas, but players can manage to get them early in the game if they are sneaky and fast enough.
The Mentor’s armor set contains 5 pieces:
- Mentor’s Mask (Helmet)
- Mentor’s Cloak (Cloak)
- Mentor’s Robes (Torso)
- Mentor’s Vambrace (Bracers)
- Mentor’s Trousers (Pants)
The Mentor’s set also has the following set bonuses for equipping the pieces of armor:
- (2/5 Pieces) Increase Attack after Critical Hits
- (5/5 Pieces) An additional increase to Speed
#1 Mentor’s Mask
Mentor’s Mask is located in the Sherwood Hideout of Sherwood Forest, in Snotinghamscire.
The Sherwood hideout is barricaded by sharp wooden logs which meet at a large boulder.
Climb up the boulder, jump down into the hideout and enter the wooden hut closest to this giant boulder. You will find a special chest inside this hut. Open it up, and collect the mask.
Snotinghamscire has a suggested power level of 250, and the Sherwood hideout is loaded with high-level enemies. If you are not strong enough, the optimal strategy is to sneak in, take the mask, and run for your life.
#2 Mentor’s Cloak
Mentor’s Cloak is located in Loch Clunbre Hideout, north along the Maun river in Snotinghamscire.
Enter this hideout from the west and use Odin’s Sight to locate the enemy holding a key in one of the huts to the east. Before killing the enemy with the key, it is better to take out the guard on the watchtower in the northwest.
Now, enter the hut and kill the enemy holding the key. You will also find the special chest, out in the open, in the same hut.
Loot the key from the enemy and use it to open the chest and claim Mentor’s cloak.
The enemy with the key will try to run out of the hut, pin him down and take him out within the shed to avoid unnecessary combat and alerting other enemies.
#3 Mentor’s Robes
Mentor’s Robes can be found in Saint Lewinna’s Church, located in Guildford, Suthsexe.
At the church, you will see a giant wooden lift. Use this lift to travel up to a wooden platform swiftly.
Here, you will see some wooden planks suspended from an iron chain in front of you. Shoot the chain with your bow and arrow to open up a path into the church.
Enter the church from the newly opened space and climb down the stairs. Here, break the poorly crafted wooden floor next to some boxes and pot in the corner.
Drop down, open the barricaded door, and finally move the shelf to the left of this new room to find a hidden room behind it.
Enter the hidden room and open the special chest to the right side to claim Mentor’s Robes.
#4 Mentor’s Vambrace
Mentor’s Vambrace can be found underground of Anderitum Hideout located in southern Suthsexe.
You will find a massive square hole in the ground surrounded by grass and bushes at this location. Drop down this hole and assassinate the enemy at the bottom.
Now, walk to the west, pick up the red pot near other cargo, and break the wooden barricade at the end of this corridor to create a small crawlspace.
Carry the red pot through the space you just created and throw it on the wall to your left in the southwest direction to open up a hidden tunnel.
Walk to the end of this tunnel and break the wooden barricade blocking the path through the stone arch.
Jump through the arch and loot the special chest on the other side to get the Mentor’s Vambrace.
#5 Mentor’s Trousers
Mentor’s Trouser is located in the heavily guarded Wincestre garrison in southwest Wincestre.
Here, locate the large stone building in the west with four red banners on its front.
Use Odin’s Sight to highlight the locked door inside the bottom floor of the building, and use your bow and arrow to shoot this lock through the windows/slits.
Now, enter the building from the front door and open the door inside to your left. Loot the special chest here holding the Mentor’s Trouser.
Strong enemies heavily guard the Wincestre garrison, so take a sneaky approach if you are at a low level and get out of there as fast as you can.
