Hogwarts Legacy features a slew of spells, potions as well as ingredients to craft them, just like in the Harry Potter movies. Troll Bogeys are an important ingredient which are required to craft Invisibility Potions. You are required to find Troll Bogeys as a part of Professor Onai’s quest.
You can obtain Troll Bogeys in Hogwarts Legacy by defeating Trolls present in Troll Lairs, or by purchasing Troll Bogeys at J. Pippins Potions store in Hogsmeade. Finding Troll Lairs require a bit of exploring to do in Hogwarts, but we’ll make it easy for you.
Troll Lairs in Hogwarts Legacy are represented by a mountain peak icon on the in-game Hogwarts Legacy map. Defeat Trolls in these Troll Lairs in order to obtain Troll Bogeys which you can use to craft spells and potions. When the Troll is defeated, it will drop Troll Bogeys.
However, it’s worth noting that not every mountain peak icon on the map is a Troll Lair. They could be something else too. To make it easier for you to obtain the Troll Bogeys, here are some of the known Troll Lairs present around Hogwarts:
- Troll Lair at the east of the Poidsear Castle Floo Flame in the southern part of the map:
- Troll Lair at the east of Feldcroft in the eastern part of the map:
- Troll Lair at the north of Feldcroft in the eastern part of the map:
Purchasing Troll Bogeys at J. Pipins Store
The second way to collect Troll Bogeys is to purchase them at J. Pipins store at Hogsmeade. Each Troll Bogey coats 100 Galleons. It is a faster way to collect Troll Bogeys, but keep in mind that Galeons are hard to come by so spend them wisely.
Troll Bogeys can also be purchased from one of the shops in Cragcroft located in Cragcroftshire. However, it is located way down the southern end of the map so it’s better to purchase it from Hogsmeade.
