The Yule Festival Event is now Live in Assassin’s Creed Valhalla

Assassin’s Creed Valhalla was released over a year ago, and Ubisoft still has a lot of content planned for their Viking action-adventure game. Given it’s the holiday season, the Yule Festival Season event has returned from last year, bringing a whole load of Holiday-themed items for the players to collect.

Like last year, players will be able to complete activities to earn Yule Tokens, which they can spend on cosmetics, armor, and weapons. Much like the cosmetic rewards from the Ostara Festival and Oskoreia Festival, the rewards from the Yule Festival are settlement decorations and tattoos.

The Yule Festival is another event that shares celebrations with real-world Holidays and reflects the time period of the game world.

Ravensthorpe will also be updated and altered for the Yule Festival Seasonal Quests. The event is free for all players, so it’s a great way to earn new cosmetic items and gear. Completing the Yule Festival Quests will present Eivor with three competitions: Yule Brawling, Archery, and a drinking contest to help purchase these items.

The event will be live until January 6th, which means along with the new content and activities in Ravensthorpe, players will see the settlement covered in snow well past the New Year. The cold will be very apparent as players will be able to see Eivor’s breath fog, snow stick to their clothes, and male Eivor’s facial hair freeze over time.

If the snowy hair looks appealing, you can unlock the look through the Yule Festival, making it a permanent appearance for your Viking Assassin.

However, there is some trouble in this winter paradise. The official Assassin’s Creed Twitter account has confirmed that some players are experiencing a bug that doesn’t activate the seasonal event when entering Ravensthorpe. It is currently unknown how many players have been affected by this bug, but Ubisoft is already working to fix it as soon as possible.

If you are one of the players affected by the bug, you’ll have to wait a bit until Ubisoft can roll out a fix. The players who can access the event can get started on earning the rewards by working through the various activities on offer.
