AC Valhalla’s Wrath of the Druids Expansion Delayed to May 13

Assassin’s Creed Valhalla is pushing the release of its first major DLC Wrath of the Druids. Originally intended to drop on April 29, the expansion will now arrive on May 13 so Ubisoft can “deliver a more refined experience.”

The delay announcement on Twitter also mentioned an upcoming article that will “provide transparency and share insights” on Ubisoft’s development process along with a directive to stay tuned for future updates.

While it was common knowledge that Wrath of the Druids will take Vikings to the shores of Ireland, a recent update from one of Ubisoft’s narrative directors also revealed a whole lot more about the DLC’s setting. You can read more about that by clicking on the button below.

With delay’s becoming a pretty regular occurrence because of the Covid-19 pandemic, there isn’t much left to guess with regards to the reasons behind the delay. Although, it’s important to note that Ubisoft recently released a very controversial transmog update for AC Valhalla. So, it could be that they learned from that experience and are trying to release the next update with minimal issues.

Wrath of the Druids DLC can be purchased separately or through the Season Pass for $40. If you choose to get the Season Pass you will also be eligible to get the second expansion, The Siege of Paris, when it arrives this summer. The Season Pass is also included in the Gold and Ultimate Editions of Assassin’s Creed Valhalla.
