AMD Radeon Pro W7900 Graphics Card with RDNA 3 GPU Spotted

AMD has already been working on the successor to the Radeon Pro W6000 series graphics card with the flagship Radeon Pro W7900. This will be a next-generation workstation GPU from AMD and will be targeting high-end workstation rigs.

The AMD Radeon Pro W7900 graphics card has been spotted in Puget Bench which is a benchmark tool used for showcasing accurate After Effects performance. The graphics card will be powered by the RDNA 3 GPU architecture and will also house the Navi 31 GPU.

The Navi 31 GPU has previously been used on graphics cards like the Radeon RX 7900 XTX & 7900 XT Gaming cards. Even though the W7900 has been spotted in Puget Bench, the specifications of the card still remain unknown.

We can expect the card to have huge amounts of VRAM. The Radeon Pro W6900X (Apple-Exclusive) and the Radeon Pro W6800 had VRAM of 32GB, as opposed to the 16GB featured on consumer variants.

If the case is same with the Radeon Pro W7900, then we can expect up to 48GB of memory on this card which puts it alongside the NVIDIA RTX 6000 Ada graphics card.

The graphics score of the AMD Radeon Pro W7900 stands at 135.3 which is roughly 10% slower than the NVIDIA RTX 6000 Ada workstation GPU, but that isn’t necessarily bad as we can expect it to launch at a lower price than the NVIDIA RTX 6000.

Even though the Pro 7000 workstation series hasn’t been announced officially by AMD yet, the W7900 being spotted on Puget Bench points towards an imminent announcement or “coming soon” release.
