Nintendo Switch has been conquering the gaming industry for nearly five years now. Therefore, it’s natural for enthusiasts to wonder where the future of this critically hit handheld console lies.
Nintendo itself has been plagued with rumors surrounding what new hardware it will release. For a long time, the word on the street was that Nintendo would make their next move by rolling out Nintendo Switch Pro.
However, these rumors turned out to be untrue as the Japanese company went ahead and launched an OLED model. But despite being taken aback by this surprise, fans were not able to keep their expectations at bay and believed that a Pro variant would still arrive.
However, if the words of an industry analyst are to be believed, then, unfortunately, I have some bad news for such enthusiasts.
Piers Harding-Rolls, an Industry analyst at Ampere Analysis, is convinced that Nintendo would never release a Switch Pro model. He predicts that the company will skip on a Pro Model to roll out Switch’s successor in 2024.

Even so, Nintendo Switch family of devices will once again be the best-selling consoles in 2022 at around 21 million sold to consumers, aided by the release of Switch OLED. I’m not expecting a Switch Pro in 2022.

But that being said, journalist Jeff Grubb believes that the revamped Switch Pro will make its debut this year only.
I still have only ever personally heard 2022 for a Switch Pro. And if that still happens, I’ll continue to speculate that [it] will have 4K output with a significantly more efficient chip with DLSS.

Right now, everything you read will do nothing but creep confusion inside you. It’s best if you take everything with a pinch of salt and wait for an official announcement from Nintendo.
