Annihilate Master Chief as Kratos with this God of War Mod

Ever since God of War released on PC, the modding community has been working nonstop to change Kratos’ journey as we know it. From Simpsons to a  father’s best weapon – dad jokes, this epic Norse story has seen it all.  

But the sky’s never the limit for modders, and they have proved it this time as well by pitting two beloved warriors of the gaming industry against each other. 

Despite Xbox releasing countless hit games, the status of Master Chief as Xbox’s mascot has never been in danger, and the same goes for Kratos when it comes to PlayStation. Therefore, one very imaginative modder thought it makes total sense for the two titans to duke it out in Norse mythology. 

Created by Marcos RC, the mod replaces Baldur’s model with Master Chief in God of War and puts the spartan up against the angry Kratos. Owing to the nature of the original fight, Xbox’s champion does not fight using any of his trusted weapons and relies on his bare hands for combat and is still voiced by Baldur’s actor. 

However, the action part sure is blissful to watch. Being the villain here, Master Chief bleeds when on the receiving end of Kratos’ fury. Despite having an energy field protecting him, Halo’s protagonist doesn’t hold too well when the angry God is ripping and tearing him apart. 

If you are a Fortnite player, then this probably isn’t the first time you have seen Kratos and Master Chief battle it out, as both characters are available as purchasable skins from the items shop.  

But Epic’s battle royale does not insatiate the hunger of those who want to see something brutal and gory, and this is where Marcos RC with this insane mod comes into action. It’s the embodiment of how spartans fight in lore, and the only thing that’s missing from it is Master Chief’s voice.  

With its addition, this mod can be truly perfect and maybe even the reason behind many enthusiasts splashing on God of War’s PC port.
