The second open beta will be playable by everyone regardless of whether they pre-ordered the game or not. During the second beta, players would have access to all five-character classes with the addition of Necromancer and the Druid.

Diablo 4’s beta announcement will also let the players explore the first zone named “Fractured Peaks.” Prologue and Act I will be entirely playable during the beta.

There’s, however, a restriction on upgrading the character, which can go only up to level 25. They can continue to be used despite hitting the cap. The developers announced that there’s plenty to be done, from clearing hordes of enemies to looting and completing quests.

The game, set to be released on June 6, might not resemble the beta as Blizzard said in the announcement video that the beta is not a “final build of the game”.

This might hint at the presence of some bugs. A maximum of 10 players can be made per Battle.net account for anyone looking to make the most of the weekends. However, players should remember that these characters will be deleted once the betas end.

The open betas are also available as a multi-player with only one user needing early access for the first weekend to join them. Two or more players can be added to the ranks if all have early access. Playing with others is also incentivized by small XP.

The developers promised beta rewards for more players in the early access. Three different rewards will be carried forward to the main game, unlocked under different conditions:

  1. Initial Casualty Title: earned by reaching Kyovashad with one character.
  2. Early Voyager Title: earned by reaching level 20 on one character.
  3. Beta Wolf Pack Cosmetic Item: earned by reaching level 20 on one character.

It was also mentioned that ray tracing will not be available during the beta. It will be added to the Diablo IV post-launch.

Blizzard also showcased Diablo IV’s new open-world sanctuary and included game’s armor system, strongholds, and more during a lengthy developer Livestream, which is about an hour or so long.

Diablo IV is launching soon on PC, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, PS4, and PS5 on June 6th.
