Destiny 2 players should do one small thing before the Lightfall DLC

Nearly everyone interested in Destiny 2 knows that the developers Bungie Inc. are looking to do a major overhaul with the upcoming, much-anticipated “Lightfall” DLC.

Based on observations from the previous seasons wherein Armor mods wreaked havoc for a while until bug fixes, experienced players have suggested that the best course of action is to clear out all armor mod slots before the servers go down.

This way, the players’ armor will be a clean slate for new sets of mods with no chance of any interaction between old mods and new updates, thereby resolving any conflicts.

As per the changes outlined in the Destiny 2 ViDoc titled “As Light Falls”, there are humongous number of changes to be expected, including combat systems. There’s an all-new subclass – Strand, including changes to how Seasonal Artifacts and perks work.

This almost marks the beginning of a new era. However, the cause of joy also ended up being the one big headache, since one such big update is sure to have one or two broken links on day one.

The gear loadouts are finally finding their way into the game, the devs are also going to utilize this opportunity to revamp the game’s entire modding system, changing costs, functionality and overall combat ecosystem.

This is why the veterans are asking the players to be vigilant and better safe than sorry, as the update also brings about an increase in difficulty. If anyone gets stuck with the old unusable mods on their top tier armor in Legend-tier gaming mode, they’re doomed.

Another minor concern is the fear of Strand abilities not synergizing between players, potentially having cannibalistic effects on each other’s passive effects.

It would be interesting to see how far ahead has Bungie thought and planned. The updates are definitely going to level up the game and players are going to hope it would be without any hiccups and ensure a better gaming experience.
