When Forza Horizon 5 initially launched, it took the gaming world by storm. From electrifying content to breathtaking graphics, this racing title had it all. The developer deserves a pat on the back for all the love poured onto the game, reflecting in the achievements the racing sim has accomplished so far.
The only issue enthusiasts have had with Forza Horizon 5 is that it hasn’t been introduced to any major expansion as of yet. Fans who spent hours upon hours on the beautiful biomes of Mexico are now wanting new content in the form of a DLC that keeps them hooked.
Thankfully, enthusiasts’ request was not falling on deaf ears as Playground Games has just announced a DLC for the highly-acclaimed racing game.
During Xbox & Bethesda Games Showcase 2022, Playground Games officially revealed the Hot Wheels expansion pack for Forza Horizon 5. The DLC will roll out on July 19 and add 10 new cars to the game, four of which are based on actual Hot Wheels cars, along with a five-part story celebrating the history of Hot Wheels.
With its arrival, Forza Horizon 5 will have four new biomes called Giant’s Canyon, Ice Cauldron, Forest Falls, and Horizon Nexus, along with gameplay additions like magnet, ice, water flume, and rumble tracks.
The DLC will also add buildable maps to the racing sim to let players “design, build, and share their own Hot Wheels adventure with over 80 distinct, snappable track pieces”.
On top of this, it’s also worth mentioning that the Hot Wheels expansion would be available in both single-player and co-op.
When it releases in July, the expansion will be priced at $19.99 for a standalone purchase and will also be available through the Premium Add-Ons Bundle, the Expansions Bundle, or with the Premium Edition of the game.
