Collars all the way up, folks.
IO Interactive recently dropped the first major update, patch 3.11, for Hitman 3 on all platforms. Sized at somewhere between 2 and 3 GB, the update delivers a range of new locations, HUD and interface enhancements, new content including two Deluxe Escalation contracts and the Tactical Turtleneck.
To get your hands on the Tactical Turtleneck, you’ll have to return to the ICA Factory and complete the “Final Test”. Doing so will unlock the turtleneck which you can then collect from your inventory. Now what makes this Turtleneck so ‘tactical’ we don’t know. But it sure seems like a stealthy look for our good friend Agent 47.
A bunch of new Deluxe Items are also available for Deluxe Edition or Deluxe Pack holders. They are:
- The Proloff Parable – Become The White Shadow and use the White Custom Sieger 300 and White Katana to complete this challenging Escalation in the Carpathian Mountains. Complete all stages and all of the items will be in your inventory
- The Gauchito Antiquity – Get ready for The Guru to give you a taste of his emetic medicine in Mendoza. With the Emetic Grenade and Emetic Pen Syringe at your disposal, you’ll need to work through all stages to unlock the three items for your inventory
This brings the number of escalations up to 5. The 6th and final escalation is set to arrive in March.
The 3.11 Patch also brings some welcome changes to the game’s HUD. Players will now have a much more accurate idea of when they’re trespassing while performing “agility moves” like climbing or vaulting. IO has warned there is room for some inconsistency here but, for the most part, the information will be in accordance with mission set-ups.
The update is now out on PS4/5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S, PC, Stadia and Switch. Players on Stadia and Switch won’t need to download or install the patch separately as both services received the game via Cloud.
