It’s always nice to look stylish while fighting through hordes of zombies. Even though Dead Island 2 is first-person, the game offers players the feature to change the outfits of their respective characters.
Players can equip and change their outfits in Dead Island 2 by accessing the player menu and selecting ‘Slayer’ from the list of options, then picking an outfit. The outfits are a part of character pack DLC bundle which can be purchased when it’s released.
There are currently no bonus outfits in the game, which means players cannot equip any outfits for now. Only two bonus outfits have been confirmed by the developers for Dead Island 2. Players who purchase any of the Gold, Deluxe, or HELL-A edition of the game will have access to them exclusively.

1. Silver Star Jacob
- Rodeo Sunset Outfit
- The Devil’s Horseshoes weapon
2. Cyber Slayer Amy
- Neurunner Outfit
- Casimir & Julienne weapons
When are the DLC outfits releasing for Dead Island 2?
The release dates for the DLC bonus outfits are unknown. However, the developers are aiming for a summer release for the outfits. It’s a shame that currently there are no outfits in the game for players to equip.
Some may think that outfits for a first-person game like Dead Island 2 is useless, but quite a few cutscenes in the game showcase the outfits for the players. The option to equip outfits is even better when playing online co-op with a friend as they can see the outfit that you’re wearing.
What will be the price of the DLC outfits for Dead Island 2?
Since the DLC character packs, which contain bonus outfits, are a part of Dead Island 2 Deluxe and Gold editions exclusively, it will cost players $89.99 and $74.99 respectively. Those who have purchased the standard edition for the game won’t get access to these outfits.
Nonetheless, it’s disappointing that players can only equip the default outfits available in the game, with no way of acquiring bonus outfits right now.
