AC Valhalla: Wrath of the Druids – How to Kill The Blaze? Full Guide

AC Valhalla: Wrath of the Druids – How to Kill The Blaze? Full Guide

AC Valhalla’s Wrath of the Druids DLC brings in a reasonable amount of new quests and areas to explore as Eivor heads to Ireland. This expedition to Ireland results in stopping yet another cult group, planning to overthrow their King. Yes, I am talking about the Children of Danu trying to sabotage High King Flann’s unification plans. These cult members, sort of like the Order members, immediately have a target on their back once Eivor lands on Ireland.

While some Children of Danu can only be killed when you are on a quest to terminate them, others like “The Blaze” can be eliminated by collecting clues hinting at their location. If you’re also on the hunt for The Blaze, a.k.a Conlae, here are some tips to finding and killing him.

Remember, none of the Children of Danu members will appear as a target until you’ve completed the Potion of Blood mission in Wrath of the Druids DLC.

1. The Blaze Location in AC Valhalla

The Blaze Location

The Blaze can be found roaming around the area near the burnt cottages to the North of Black Pig’s Dyke located on the southern border of Ulster.

Conlae is often found walking his Irish Wolfhound through the path, so be wary about a dog attack while trying to sneak kill.

But before you can even plan his demise, you need three clues hinting at his exact location on the map. So go ahead and collect the clues before proceeding.

2. All the Blaze Location Clues

There are a total of 3 clues to be collected to get the Blaze’s location.

  • Clue #1: This clue is immediately collected after killing another ‘Children of Danu’ named “The Ash.” The clue will instruct Eivor to search the gravesite near Bally na Gall’s waterfall, along with the burned village of Ulster’s Bann River.
  • Clue #2: While investigating the gravesite, another clue will instruct Eivor to search the burned houses between Black Pig’s Dyke and Clogher in Ulster.

The Blaze Clue #2

Just a tip: The village is surrounded by wolves, so be extra sneaky while exploring. Just stick to the Cliffs, and you’ll be fine.

  • Clue #3: Can be found inside one of the burnt farmhouses in Black Pig’s Dyke. This clue will reveal the Blaze’s location and confirm he is roaming somewhere along with the 3rd clue’s location.

The Blaze Clue #3

After you’ve found the clue, you can use Odin’s Sight and Raven’s Eye to locate your target quickly.

The Blaze

The Blaze, a.k.a Conlae, is pretty easy to kill. He will be roaming around the Black Pig’s Dyke area, walking his dog, giving you enough time to sneak behind and perform an assassination kill.

But, based on some players’ experiences, the Blaze can also attack while you are on the lookout for clue #3; if that happens, take out an ax or sword and destroy this enemy.

Once you’ve eliminated this Children of Danu member, you will find yet another note giving you clues for the next Children of Danu target: The Mist.

With each member taken down, you can finally attempt the Amber Sun quest and ultimately finish the Wrath of the Druids DLC before jumping into the Siege of Paris DLC coming later this year.
