God of War (2018) is chock-full of puzzles spread all throughout the different realms of the game for you to crack your way through its brilliant campaign and questlines. However, some of these puzzles are a little trickier than others.
One such puzzle that you might find yourself stuck on is the seasons puzzle – it’s a part of the Magic Chisel quest that leads to lowering the Water level in the Lake of Nine, expanding your area of exploration even more.
The puzzle itself sits in the middle of ruins between The Mason’s Channel and Thamur’s Corpse – solving it is necessary for progressing through the question.
When you reach the place, the sand bowl in the center will be out of reach for Kratos, but you can send Atreus to that bowl from a hole to the right, hidden behind a wooden plank.
Once there, Atreus would inform Kratos on how to solve this puzzle – arrange the season panels in retrograde, that is, in reverse order. How do we exactly solve it, you ask? Well, let’s find out.
To solve Magic Chisel’s seasons puzzle in God of War, you need to arrange the panels using the Leviathan Axe from left to right as – Autumn (leaf), Summer (Sun), Spring (Flower), and Winter (Snowflake). Once done, the symbol of the seasons would glow up, thus ending the puzzle.
Unfortunately, there are no rewards for completing this puzzle, but what follows is certainly interesting.
So, once the panels glow up and you hit the button prompt on Atreus, the word “Endure” would pop up right in the middle as the platform begins to restructure itself – it’s actually a hint at what’s to come next.
Next, the newly formed platform would begin to rise up, and with it, a timer would start to tick away. What follows is an endurance battle as the platform rises to the top.
But, as you’re about to reach the top, you’d be interrupted by the enemies, and the platform would begin away. Here, you need to quickly command Atreus to shoot down the red objects on each side of the enemies as soon as you can.
After Atreus shoots both the red objects down, the platform on which the enemies are standing would break away -it will reveal a wall that Kratos and Atreus can climb to get out of the place.
With that, the Magic Chisel quest would continue as Kratos and Atreus enter The Hammer Head.
