Skull and Bones is Set to be the First Game to Launch with DLSS, FSR, and XeSS Support

Ubisoft’s multiplayer pirate game Skull and Bones has kept fans waiting for too long after being revealed in 2017. Originally planned to arrive in 2019, the Sea of Thieves-esque game is finally coming this year on November 8.

Ubisoft provided more details on Skull and Bones during Gamescom 2022, revealing PC specifications that include major AI upscaling technologies. The game will support raytracing, uncapped framerate, multi-monitor, and even ultrawide support.

Moreover, Skull and Bones will also support NVIDIA DLSS, AMD FSR, and even Intel XeSS image upscaling technologies, making it the first game to support all three at launch.

There is even an in-game benchmark so you can test out these upscaling technologies. However, Ubisoft disappointingly announced AMD FSR 1.0 support instead of FSR 2.0. Intel’s XeSS was supposed to arrive by now with its Arc Alchemist graphics cards, but it seems like we’ll have to wait to see XeSS in action.

Ubisoft has given a detailed outlook on the system requirements for PC on its official website. The system requirements for the four main quality levels of the game, namely, 1080p Low, 1080p High, 1440p High, and 4K, have been put out.

The GPU requirements are pretty steep for 1080p High and 1440p High, and you’ll need at least an RTX 3080 or RX 6800 XT for a premium 4K experience. The only Arc GPU you can buy right now(in some parts of the world) is the A380, which probably meets the 1080p Low requirements.

At Just 16GB RAM and 65GB SSD Storage, you get 4K quality at uncapped framerate, and with ray tracing support, being a pirate has never been better. So, if you’ve got the hardware for it, the visual experience at least will be top tier in Skull and Bones.
