Valheim Player Builds Mountain Stairway that Goes to Dizzying Heights

Minecraft might be the most popular outlet for gamer creativity but lately, Valheim has been coming up in that regard with leaps and bounds. A few crafty mods coupled with the game’s superior crafting mechanics have led to some astounding results, with the most recent being a mountainside staircase that seems almost endless when one sees how high up it goes.

Redditor ‘borischung01’ showcased their build of the second half of their mountain pass to the Valheim community; a pass that they say goes “high enough to exit the atmosphere”.

As can be seen in the almost three and half minute clip above, the pass is a sturdy looking staircase that curls across the face of a snowclad mountain. It is also sufficiently lit with fire torches and lanterns so if you’re looking for a nighttime, under-the-stars trek you should be good.

However, there are times when the staircase curves out into mid-air so it’s essential that you watch your step. Additionally, if you’re scared of heights or have vertigo issues, it might be smart to just avoid the climb altogether.

The stairs finish right at the top of the mountain which puts even Valheim’s skies below the player. At the moment the summit is empty, but in a comment on their reddit post, borischung01 said they’re still thinking of what to build on top. Hopefully, it’ll be something befitting of the mountain’s majesty.

This is yet another example of player ingenuity coming together with Iron Gate’s fantastic building and crafting mechanics for Valheim. The stairway now joins an insanely impressive collection of Valheim creations which includes Skyrim’s iconic Dragonsreach, a life-size recreation of Hogwarts, the Millennium Falcon, and the Eiffel Tower.

Furthermore, the game’s Norse setting has also seen some small-scale creations that are just as impressive as the mammoths mentioned above like this beer pong table and these inspired monster traps.
