Not only is it a great game which offers a delightful time of gleeful gory, but it’s also one of the best Warhammer games you can play right now.
Like the previous Vermintide, it’s a first-person, four-player survival game where you fight against hordes of enemies who range from the Skaven to Chaos Raiders.
But what makes the game truly stand out is the tension it builds in the players’ minds.
Just imagine, you’re fighting off hordes of enemies one by one, but suddenly you find out that your partners have been killed and surrounded by enemies, and you too, are being ambushed by one enemy after the other.
All hope seems lost, and it almost looks as if it’ll be game over, but eventually, you finally put the last enemy down, and you survive.
It’s moments like this that makes Warhammer: Vermintide such a fantastic experience. The game is so damn difficult to master that you will find yourself putting hours into it without even figuring out something like parry-timings, and that’s what makes the entire thing so much more fun!
But the main highlight of the game is its combat. To say that it’s satisfyingly gory would be a massive understatement, in my opinion.
Now, I know I’m going to sound like a psychopath when I say this, but words cannot describe how satisfying it feels to chop all the enemies in our path in half.
If you decide to play the game, trying putting a metal track in the background and watch your character destroy the enemy lines with your team to the rhythm’s sounds.
A lovely state of affairs, I say.
With all that said, if you decide to check the game out, don’t be surprised if you get brutalized by the first few missions because, as I said, the game’s mechanics can be tricky to learn but are insanely satisfying once you get the hang of it. So, stick with the game and give it a bit of time.
