In Horizon Forbidden West, Vista Points are sidequests in the jungle where Aloy plays the role of a detective. Players are given a subtle clue to match it to a nearby area in the wild. Although a drag, the Vista Point side quests encompass rewards that can help you get closer to unlocking new skills.
Moreover, Vista Points are much more involved in this instalment than in the previous one. But, looking for these points without getting lost in Forbidden West woods can be a troublesome task.
You can find the Vista Points of Elden Ring in The Daunt, Plainsong, Scalding Spear, The Stillsands, Dunehollow, The Memorial Grove, The Long Coast, Shrouded Heights, and the Isle of Spires. There are a total of nine Vista Points in the game.
Once you find a Vista Point, you’ll receive a partial hologram of it. Then, you’ll have to superimpose somewhere in the surroundings to complete the projection. In order to see the hologram, you’ll have to use Focus.
Upon lining it up appropriately, you’ll solve the Vista Point and be able to use it at your own will.

1Vista Point – The Daunt
You can find the first Vista Point of Horizon Forbidden West in the middle of the Daunt. Furthermore, it’s adjacent to the location of Relic Ruins: The Daunt.
Chances are you’ll come across this point while looking for Erend. Not far from the spot where you assist a couple of hunters in killing a Bristleback is a bridge between two campfires that leads to this Vista Point.
After reaching, scan the box and move along the riverbed until you notice a broken bridge. To clear this point, activate your Focus and look at the opposite end of the bridge.
2Vista Point – Plainsong
Players can end their search for the second Vista Point near the Plainsong Rebel Camp.
You’ve to progress southwest from the gigantic tower and climb up the rubble. After covering a distance, you’ll notice an enormous wind turbine.
Activating your focus and looking towards the turbine will render this Vista Point’s hologram complete.
3Vista Point – The Stillsands
The Stillsands Vista Point is relatively easy to find, even though its clue in Horizon Forbidden West is quite vague. It’s located towards the west of Camp Nowhere.
To complete this puzzle, move to the north of the Vista Point tower, turn around and stand facing the building. Subsequently, activate your focus, and you’ll be good to go!
4Vista Point – Memorial Grave
This Vista Point can be found near the base of the Mountain Range. Nevertheless, the location is much far compared to The Daunt Vista Point.
If you want to solve the Memorial Grave Vista Point puzzle, navigate northeast from the tower, cross the river and climb the cliff.
Once you reach even ground near an abandoned airfield, activate your Focus and look past the scrap. Voila, a complete hologram will be formed!
5Vista Point – Scalding Spear
The Scalding Spear Vista Point tower is placed on the western side of the hills west of Plainsong on the map.
Once players have scanned the tower, they need to look for a broken shack with a fallen tree acting as a ladder to the roof. You can solve this puzzle by climbing onto the roof, activating your Focus and scanning the open area below.
In addition, there’s a Sunwing Machine Site in the region, so Aloy will have to deal with the enemy machines or sneak around.
6Vista Point – Dunehollow
To obtain the solution for the Vista Point of Dunehollow, you need to complete The Sea of Sand and access the area underneath Hidden Embers.
Players can find the starting point by progressing underground and south towards the Eiffel Tower. The point is at the broken structure near its base. If you want to complete the hologram, move to the crumbling eastern edge of the broken bridge in the northern part of this underground path.
Besides, you’ll have to walk around the edge of the bridge to superimpose the solution because the Dunehollow Vista Point requires Aloy to be exceptionally precise.
7Vista Point – The Long Coast
The Long Coast Vista Point tower is located at the north-western coast of the mainland, north of Tide’s Reach. You can find the solution on a small island west of this starting point.
Lining up the projection of this Vista Point is possible by climbing up the highest point on the small island. Consequently, you’ve to look towards a few ruins on the northwest shoreline after activating Focus.
8Vista Point – Shrouded Heights
In order to solve the Shrouded Heights Vista Point puzzle, players need to unlock the Diving Mask first.
You’ll find the starting point tower for this Vista Point in the north-western area near the edge of the map. Upon reaching the westernmost island, you’ve to scan the northern shoreline.
Subsequently, Aloy will insist on the solution being underwater. Then, you’ve to dive and swim north until you reach a massive ruined structure.
Aloy will have to line up the image of the underwater speed boost without activating it to complete the projection.
9Vista Point – Isle of Spires
Players can unlock the Isle of Spires Vista Point only after completing the other eight of them. Additionally, the starting point of this Vista Point is present in the southern part of the Isle of Spires.
Aloy will inform you that the solution seems to be located at a higher altitude upon scanning it. Moreover, solving this puzzle is relatively more manageable if you possess the Sunwing mount, but the solution is still obtainable.
In the absence of a Sunwing, you’ll have to climb up the metal structure. Lastly, players need to line up the hologram of the ruined city by climbing onto the attached pole.
